Updates are automatic
Parky checks for a new release when it starts and every couple of hours. When one lands it shows an Install button — one press, no Downloader, no code.
Install guide · about two minutes
Parky isn't in an app store, so you install it once by hand. After that it updates itself. Pick your device below — every step names exactly what's on the screen.
parky.watch/parky.apk.
Amazon
Uses the free Downloader app from Amazon's own store. Nothing else to buy or plug in.
From the Fire TV home screen go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options.
Don't see Developer options? Newer Fire OS hides it. Go to My Fire TV → About, highlight the first line (your device name) and press the select button 7 times until it says "You are now a developer". Go back one screen and Developer options is there.
Inside it, open Install unknown apps (older sticks call it Apps from Unknown Sources). If it lists apps, leave it for now — you'll switch Downloader on in step 3. If it's a single toggle, turn it ON.
Go back to the home screen, select the Find / magnifying-glass, and search Downloader. Install the orange one by AFTVnews, then open it. Allow the two permissions it asks for on first launch.
If step 1 showed a list of apps: go back to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps and turn Downloader to ON.
Open Downloader. Select the address bar at the top, type the code — — — — — and press Go. (You can type parky.watch/parky.apk instead — it's the same file.)
The download takes 10–30 seconds. When it finishes, press Install.
When it says App installed, press Open. If Downloader offers to Delete the file afterwards, say yes — Parky doesn't need it, and it keeps 18 MB free.
Sideloaded apps don't get a tile on the home row automatically. Press and hold the Home button on the remote → Apps, find Parky, press the ☰ menu button and choose Move to front.
Chromecast with Google TV, onn boxes, NVIDIA Shield, and Sony / TCL / Hisense / Philips sets running Google TV. Same Downloader app, from the Play Store.
Open Google Play Store on the TV, search Downloader by AFTVnews, install it and open it. Allow the permissions it asks for.
In Downloader's address bar type — — — — — (or parky.watch/parky.apk) and press Go. Wait for the download, then press Install.
The first time, the TV will say installs from this source aren't allowed and offer Settings. Take it, turn Downloader on, press back, and press Install again.
If it doesn't offer, the switch is at Settings → Apps → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources → Downloader ON. On some Google TV sets: Settings → Privacy → Security & restrictions.
If a Blocked by Play Protect box appears, choose More details → Install anyway. It's the normal warning for anything not from the Play Store; Parky's installer is signed and the file's checksum is printed on the home page.
Press Open, or find Parky under Your apps → See all. Long-press it to add it to your favourites row.
Everything else
The unbranded boxes — X96, T95, H96, MXQ, "Android 11 TV Box" and friends. They run ordinary Android, so there are two easy ways in.
Play Store → search Downloader by AFTVnews → install → open.
— — — — — or parky.watch/parky.apk, then Go → Install.
Usually Settings → Security → Unknown sources (or Install unknown apps → Downloader).
Open the box's browser and go to parky.watch/parky.apk. It saves to Download.
Open the box's File Manager (or Downloads), find parky.apk, select it, press Install.
Same switch as on the left: Settings → Security → Unknown sources.
The file is only served to Android devices — a Windows or Mac browser gets a page pointing back here instead. To put it on a box by USB stick, download it on an Android phone first.
Android
Open parky.mov/parky.apk in the phone's browser. Tap Download if it asks.
Tap the finished download in the notification (or in the browser's Downloads).
Android will say the browser isn't allowed to install apps and offer Settings. Turn Allow from this source on, go back, tap Install.
Tap Open. Downloads and offline files work here too — they land in Movies/Parky/.
Parky checks for a new release when it starts and every couple of hours. When one lands it shows an Install button — one press, no Downloader, no code.
It opens on the home page and just works. The first-run screen explains what the app does; press Agree and go.
Favourites, watchlist and history live on the box. Settings → Account can save them to a file if you ever move to a new one.
And if none of these is it: support@parky.mov — say which device and what the screen said.
https://parky.mov/parky.apk instead of the code.ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERRORparky.mov — usually a security or web filter built into the internet provider's router. Type parky.watch/parky.apk in Downloader instead; it's the same file. If that doesn't load either, turn off the router's web filter in its app, or set the TV's DNS to 1.1.1.1.Code — — — — — in Downloader, or parky.watch/parky.apk anywhere else.
